They’re Okay, But…UMC Trauma Center Isn’t All That Fun

chairtalk

I guess you might be wondering why I was at UMC’s Trauma Center, huh?  My parents were in a car accident early this morning.  Totalled the car, but fortunately, didn’t total my parents.  My dad is a little bruised and burned from the airbag, but is fine and will be going to a private doctor for a check-up.  Right, Dad!?  My mom, who is tiny, was hit pretty hard by the airbag and had a lacerated liver—she’ll be spending the night at the hospital.

Advice to everyone - get a car with airbags if you can.  It’ll help you survive smashing into a cement barrier.  Also, wear your seatbelts.  And, to help prevent injuries, wear your seatbelt properly.  Seatbelts:  Why You Should Use Them While I was in the trauma center waiting room, quite a few people died from car accidents.  My guess is, most of them weren’t wearing seatbelts.  If you’re reading this, I probably like you and want you to stick around for a while.  So, wear your seatbelts.  In a few days, I’ll show you the car and you can decide if seatbelts and airbags are helpful.

  1. Oh my.  I hope they’ll be super okay soon.  Thank goodness for airbags.

(If it was the fault of a drunk teenage driver, I’m gonna have that idiot shot, but since youd idn’t mention anything like that, it’s probably not the case)

  2. Your picture cracked me up.  I must get a camera phone to document my fascinating life.  LOL

I hope that your parents are quickly improving.  That must have been quite a scare.  :(
