The Day After
The pain is getting worse, but my knuckles are starting to show in my hands again. Hopefully the pain will settle down - I imagine the day after is never great because all of the anesthesia’s worn off. I’m taking some good pain meds, but they’re not quite strong enough. Still, I had a good day. Slept in, had a bagel for breakfast, had a nap, watched some hockey, ate a couple of corn dogs, watched a hilarious episode of South Park (I’m like totally serial), and finally a mostly good episode of Gilmore Girls. The stuff about it being bad for Lorelai to hang around April is just stupid. Paris was awesome. I’m going to bed.
Oh wait, I want to tell you how great Leigh-Ann has been. She gets me all my food, brings me pills, and most of all, she takes the little dogs out, which means walking downstairs to put the big dogs away, coming upstairs to take the little dogs down (the stairs are blocked by a baby gate), picking up all the dog poop in the back yard, getting the little dogs to come back upstairs, walking up the stairs, putting the little dogs back in the master bedroom, walking back downstairs to let the big dogs out, then coming back upstairs to resume life. She’s a peach. I think I’ll keep her.

Very glad to read that you’re on the mend!!! Yeah, Leigh-Ann’s definitely a keeper.
So, now that this ‘bad back’ business is over, when are you gonna strap on your ice skates and play a little two-on-two with me & Bo? East Coast vs. West Coast, baby!

I’m SO glad to hear you’re doing okay - pain aside - and that you’re safe and sound after the surgery. I’m sending good vibes for a quick and easy recovery (followed by feeling perfectly wonderful!).
