The Blur Of The Last Two Months

I feel like I lost two months of my life.  Well, after I lost almost a year of my life to back pain, doctor visits, surgery, and recovery from surgery.  The last two months I’ve either been sick (first with a sinus infection that would not die, then with a cold) or in school.  Even though I learned a lot in school and I’m kind of excited to start doing loans (but terrified at the same time - you’ll send people to me, right?), I feel like so much has gone on and I’ve gotten a little lost.  Then again, if I look back over the last two months, a lot really has happened - some stuff that I can discuss publicly and some stuff that I can’t.  Weird stuff.  Annoying stuff.  Baffling stuff.  Plus, there was that weird dream last night about Sharon Stone shoplifting.  Why on earth am I dreaming about Sharon Stone?  And why is she shoplifting in that dream?

Hey, you know what’s been good lately?  Television.  Veronica Mars is back.  It’s so good.  Are you watching it?  You should be.  Although, why does Mac look different this season?  She looks…odd.  Also, Gilmore Girls is back.  The blessed breakup of Luke and Lorelai.  They made a terrible couple.  The new show this season that you should be watching - Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.  It’s awesome.  The writing is great, the acting is fabulous, and I’ve missed Matthew Perry.

We have new foster kittens.  We’re not sure how old they are, but they’re already at the cute stage where they’re running and jumping and playing.  They’re our third set of foster kittens, and our third set of themed names.  The first kittens were hockey-themed, the second set were Buffy-themed, and these guys are mortgage class themed.  We have Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and TJ.  TJ was our instructor, and she was pretty cool, so we felt she deserved a kitten named after her.  The kitten happens to be a boy, but I don’t think TJ would mind.  By the way, is anyone looking to adopt some kittens?  They’ll be ready for homes in a couple of weeks.  They’re super cute and fun and playful.  C’mon, you know you want some.  They’re like potato chips, you can’t just stop at one.  Take all three.

  1. What was Sharon Stone shoplifting? Or attempting to shoplift?  I want details.

  2. Hmmmm.  This last year has left me feeling as though I am in an alternative universe, in some ways.  Are you also visiting this universe?

    Is Sharon Stone here too?

Why is life constantly changing, just when I like how it is and feel comfortable?

Odd.  But I’m glad to have your companionship in the weird world!

  3. Congrats!  I’m with Helly - the flyers are outasight!  You should be in advertising…

What cute kittens - I wish I could have one, but Satchel and Bucky and Sir Stirling are rather territorial and not very nice to newcomers.

    Take care of yourself,

  4. Sharon Stone was shoplifting something pastel colored, I think.  I’ve now sort of lost the details of that dream.  It was wacky.

MoonandSun, you get my emails, right?  The Big Train Pumpkin Spice Chai was fabulous.  Clearly the best chai yet.  Thank you!  Oh yeah, and I think I’m visiting the weird alternate universe.

Mikey, kittens are real charmers.  Our cats were old and cranky, and the kittens approach them until the big cats accept them.  You’d be surprised.  Even Missy Mae, our semi-feral-lives-behind-the-downstairs-toilet (by choice) cat eventually starts to accept the kittens and will sleep with them.  Our 14 year old crank, Chelsea, is now no longer hissing at our ten month old guys, except for Scampi, because he has a crush on her and chases her sometimes.  It’s cute…well, to us. smile

Thanks for the compliment on the flyers.  And hey, if any of you guys know people who want to pay us for ad ideas, send ‘em our way.

  5. Yep, I got your email, I’m just too lame to respond.  I really do love hearing from you!

I, too, love the pumpkin spice.  However, something about this alternative universe has caused my ass to expand and none of my pants fit, so I’m trying to stay away from it all and drink water only.  It is difficult, considering I am sitting in a warehouse full of chocolate!

    ::sigh::

  6. kittens are good. except for the whole growing-up-into-cats thing. heh.

  7. ahhh kittens. warm and fuzzy. they make you smile. all is right with the world. wait then reality sits in and they crap on your carpet and tear up your curtains and eat the casserole you made for your ailing neighbor. then they stare at you when you dare disturb them on YOUR bed. But yeah so i have four of the grown up version and wouldn’t trade them for anything. go figure!

  8. Sweetney & JenS, foster kittens never grow up to be cats…well, at least not at our house.  We get them in their jumping straight up in the air playfulness, then give them up to their new homes.  Okay, we did keep first set of fosters and they’re about 11 months old now and occasionally terrors, but we don’t have room to keep any others.  So, we get the cuteness now and leave the paper towel shredding, back climbing, roaming across keyboards, and teasing the dogs & older cats stuff for their new owners. smile

  9. Yeah true. But two of them suckered you in..lol I’d get too attached though I think.
