Okay, Since When Is 40 A Senior Citizen?
I’m not sure whether to feel awful that Sunset magazine thinks I’m a senior citizen at the ripe old age of 40, or to be grateful for the terrific price. I like the little smiley face they gave me to indicate that I wanted to take advantage of their offer for really old people.

On the bright side, I got a couple of checks yesterday too, which always makes me happy. Although, the LinkShare check for “ten-hundred zero” freaks me out a little. I’m glad the numbers on the check are correct because while ten hundred zeroes is a lot of zeroes, it isn’t really any money.

Today was fun. I had lunch with two of my brothers, my sister-in-law and my brother’s friend Irving. We talked about ghosts, psychic healing, matzo ball soup, Burning Man, strip clubs, death, drugs, palm reading, and acupuncture. I’m not used to being out so long (8 hours) because the dogs only have six hour bladders. But it took us too long to get ready and Leigh-Ann had to stay home. She got to force feed poor sick Chelsea (the cat we’ve had for five weeks stopped eating and has a hepatic liver (?)), take the dogs out and play with the saws outside. At least I brought her Samurai Sam’s and a peppermint mocha to make up for it all. Besides, she could probably occasionally use a break from me.
Man, my writing is suffering with my lack of sleep. My apologies for the disjointed thoughts and poor sentence structure.
