Oh, The Traffic, The Silent Silent Traffic
Melissa, you get LOTS of traffic (my stats are through the roof, you know, relatively speaking), but they’re all so very quiet. Perhaps I have cooties. Perhaps they’re Bush lovers (the George/Jeb kind). Perhaps you’ve secretly told them to spy on me, to make sure the toys I sent weren’t booby-trapped in any way. Hey, what do you think the ratio is of lurkers vs posters, in general? 95% lurkers? 99%?
Well, I’m off to go put sunblock on my stupid looking knees and then go to the pool to see if I can even out this hideous burn pattern. While I’m there, I’m going to discuss with Leigh-Ann all of the work I need to do on my sidebars. Really, those books I’m “reading” - those are from November. The music - same thing. I’ve just been too lazy to figure out the nitpicky CSS stuff (ha! that book, I didn’t read) that will make all of my books/music/tv stuff show up on all of my pages, by just typing it in once. Or, I’ll probably do it an even easier way and have Leigh-Ann figure it out for me.
An aside, I’m very very proud to have been given my very own link category on the Canadian Expat Blog site. Thanks, Expat Chick. It’s true, you Canadians are nice, even when you’re living here, where we think you’re crazy when you say “zed” (the letter ‘z’) and “scawn” (scone).

It can’t be zed. Zed would be a whole word by itself, not just the sound of a letter. Honestly, the first time I heard someone say “zed”, I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about.
And, you only love me because of my extreme Coffee Crisp and Wunderbar addiction. I’m dying to go to a Tim Horton’s too, even if Karla Homolka might be there. Charles Manson could be at my Starbucks and that wouldn’t stop me from going.

LOLMy husband is not a fan of the letter “zed” either, especially when we are talking about his passion (BMWs) and I start talking about the “zed"4 or the “zed"8. I blame it on my ‘Nuk roots but I just do it to annoy him!
I think that you are right about your ratio of lurkers to posters. Looking at my stats, I would say that it has to be close to 99% lurkers. It is weird. Same people every day but never a comment.

Now see, I think a Zed 4 sounds kind of cool. It’s like Speed Racer’s Mach 5. And nothing is cooler than Speed’s Mach 5.
The Letter Zed ring cracks me up.
