My Family Makes Me Sick
Literally. If the incubation period of the common cold is 36-72 hours, and my first symptoms appeared Sunday night, we’re looking at the culprit either being the Stanley Cup covered with cooties on Friday or being with the family for Thanksgiving on Thursday. Regardless, I feel like phlegmy headachey crud. I spent most of yesterday in bed, unable to get rid of my headache. And get this, I don’t want chocolate again. Twice in a couple of months, it’s unimaginable. I’m feeling a tad better today than yesterday, but it’s really important that I feel okay tomorrow because I have an appointment with Dr. $250 (the pain management guy), and I’ve been waiting weeks for that appointment. So, I’m going back to bed. I imagine the blogosphere will continue on in my absence. Maybe while I sleep, my Blogrolling account will update properly again.

It is the family.
Stanley couldn’t do that to you. Too cruel!

Sweetpea, you’re not supposed to LICK the Stanley Cup, no matter HOW religious of an experience you’re having.

The Ross’ on Syvella are all feeling just peachy - although your bro has been complaining that he “Thinks” he is coming down with something - I will curse ALL of you sickies if I get sick before I have to get on a plane on Saturday. Hope you feel mucho better by tomorrow morning sissy in-law

I gotta say, I think “family” is the culprit. We’re so diligent about hand-washing and not touching railings and not putting our hands near our faces when we’re out in public (for example, at a hockey game), but when we’re with family, I don’t think we’re quite as attentive to cootie potential.

How did the appointment with Dr. $250 go? (Patience is not one of my virtues.) (I’m not sure I have any of the known virtues. Hmm.)
