iPod Touch - Lesson 2
Hmm, I don’t much care for the new cheapie pair of Coby earbuds either. They’re tons better than the ones that came with the iPod because I don’t feel like weeping when I have them in, but Leigh-Ann has a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that I tried yesterday...and yummy. Yeah, they’re much much bigger, but they’re super comfy and the sound is good too. Oh, and I finally figured out how to get the music from my computer to the iPod. For some reason, the first couple of times I tried to sync it, it didn’t work. Now I have a few poor quality kitten movies from my camera, a bunch of Podcasts, and a few albums uploaded.
I ordered a case today. Well, I ordered one last week, and it was the really hard to find Belkin Folio leather case in Pink/Chocolate and I was so happy when it came within two days. Then I opened the box. It was a pink metal Nano case. The company was nice enough to let me keep the case anyway, although because of its low sale price, it wasn’t worth it for them to have me send it back. Today, I ordered a cool iFrogz wrap. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the pink that I wanted, but I thought the red looked nice too. I can’t wait to get it because I don’t like having the iPod out of the box without anything protecting it. It seems so, well chunky and glassy and breakable.

You are awesome. I just ordered a frogz cover for my daughter’s ipod touch - she “used” to collect frogs, she’s gonna love this cover.

Denise - glad to be of service. It’s taken lots and lots of searching to find a Touch case that I like AND that’s in stock. All the ones that I liked were out of stock or not released yet. I’m sure in a month or two, the market will be flooded with cool cases, like it is for the Nano, but right now, it’s slim pickin’s for us Touch folks. Oh, and did you already order it? I forgot to mention the CLEVERMOM coupon code for 15% off. It doesn’t turn into a huge discount, so at least it wasn’t a coupon for the Touch that I forgot to mention.
I really can’t wait to get my cover. I’ve been transporting the iPod around in its box. Not very attractive. Just now, I finally figured out that it fits in my camera case, if I unplug the earphones. But otherwise, it’s a pretty good fit with my cheap little Case Logic camera case. That’s work until I get the cute & form-fitted iFrogz wrap.

Nancy - right now, I’ve only listened to some old Liz Phair podcasts. I listened to an hour of Julia Sweeney, in This American Life, that I bought for 95 cents. I watched one Ze Frank podcast and have a few more to watch, and I have a whole bunch of SModcasts with Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier. I haven’t listened to any yet, but I’m assuming they’ll be amusing.
One of the main ways I’ve killed time on my Touch...watching YouTube. If that isn’t the dorkiest thing.
Oh yeah, and even though I don’t knit, I downloaded some knitting podcasts. Plus, some Girls Gone Geek, French for Beginners, Family Guy (I have a crush on Seth MacFarlane), plus one that has 30 minutes of Jack McBrayer (the NBC page Kenneth on “30 Rock"). I love him too. My problem is that I keeping taking it to bed with me, and then falling asleep before I watch/listen to anything for very long.
Hopefully, within the next few weeks, I’ll have this whole sorting through shows, podcasts, music, etc., figured out. Right now, it feels like an awkward foreign language.
