Idiot of the Day - “Scooter” Libby
Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, was indicted today by a grand jury on one count of obstruction of justice, two counts of making false statements and two counts of perjury in the CIA leak probe. The indictments are the first in a nearly two-year investigation into the public unmasking of an undercover CIA operative.
May this just be the very beginning of the indictments. I want someone standing trial for treason, for outing a CIA agent.

That’s what I don’t get—why is this NOT considered treason?
Interesting fact: NPR reporter covering this is named Libby Lewis. Weird, eh?

I want indictments and news of indictments to be slow and spread-out over the next year so during the mid-term elections the words corruption and indictments become synonymous with Republicans.

I thought at first we were doomed with only getting ol’ Scoots, but then I read that they can get another grand jury convened to add on. That brought a smile to my face. I think an indictment every couple of weeks would be lovely.

Don’t worry about the “only scooter” stuff. Indictments lead to depositions. Depositions lead to trials.
Trials require witnesses.
