Did you fall back, didja, didja?
I really like the time change. The days feel so long for a little while, kind of like when you make your clocks five or ten minutes later than the real time…and it fools you for a couple of days, at least right when you wake up. Since the pool motors were broken this summer and we couldn’t use the pool, I had no use for the summer. It’s just hot sweaty weather that uses lots of air conditioning. There’s nothing fun about it, so I’m glad it’s over now. The only thing I don’t like about the weather change is needing a jacket to take the little dogs outside, but other than that, the cool weather is a relief. I’d also like one day of snow this year. Last year, we were supposed to have snow showers one night, but all I saw were about ten snowflakes in the air when I went to take the trash out. I hardly consider that worth the title of “snow shower”.
Wow, it’s day two of NaBloPoMo and I’ve already run out of things to say. Maybe it’s just the pressure of waiting for the election to be over and worrying that it’s going to be stolen…again. We should be replacing Al Gore, after his eighth year of the presidency. Of course, if we were, so very many other things would be different. I feel sorry for Al - I wonder if he still goes to bed at night, wondering what would have happened if the Supreme Court hadn’t decided the election? That would really suck. I’m glad he’s made lemonade out of the BUSHel of lemons he was stuck with. It took him a little while though, didn’t it?
