R.I.P. Gilmore Girls

I’ll try to remember you as you were in your past, smart & witty.  I’ll try to forget that April ever existed or that you ever did that quickie marriage thing with Chris or that you had that stupid relationship/breakup thing with Luke.  When you were good, you were very very good; when you were bad, you were cancelled.

Goodbye “Gilmore Girls.” The sharp-witted saga of an independent mother and daughter that added to the luster of the young WB network, will end its run after seven seasons.
The show, which last year moved to the CW network created by the merger of WB and UPN, will air its final episode May 15 at 8 p.m. EDT, CW and producer Warner Bros. Television announced Thursday.

I nominated Leigh-Ann’s blog, after I saw that any ol’ body can do the nominating.  Ack, I saw one person, who was ranting and raving about Rosie winning so far for best celebrity blog, and the woman had nominated her own site for four awards: “Hottest Mommy Blogger” (ick), “Best Education Blog” (yeah, right), et al, and nominated some spammy MLM blog for Best Marketing and Best Business blogs.  So, if someone can do that, I can nominate my partner’s good AND qualified blog for one single category, Best Animal Blogger.  So, hurry on over to vote.  You have to register, but since I did it for Jurgen Nation’s blog (Best Photography Blog - AnastaciaCampbell.com, go vote for her while you’re at it, because she takes awesome pictures), you can do it for my girlie.

the wee hours

This horrible pay period, I figured out approximately what I made for working my ass off.  $6.083333 an hour.  Yup, $6/hour, without benefits.  Admit it, you’re jealous.  You know you want to work long hours through the night, sometimes not sleeping, to kick commission-based butt and end up with...$6.  LOL.  It’s not what I always make, but the past two weeks have given me a plethora of people saying, “I’ll send it in today.  Call me, then I’ll send it in.” Oh, I love it when that happens.  Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  I enjoyed rollercoasters when I was younger, but now I’m old and in pain, so rollercoasters hurt.  I’ll have to try the 60+ hours/week again and I’ll let you know how it turns out.  Fortunately, I have Modafanil, so I can stay awake & alert for days on end.
