terribly early in the morning

I was told that it was in the 70’s in Rochester, NY on Wednesday

I call global warming.  Must watch Al Gore’s movie, especially since Leigh-Ann is working on the website for the distributors’ new movie on Iraq.

Please, please, please, Al Gore run in 2008.  I think we need you, very badly.  I’m not sure that I even care who your running mate is, as long as it isn’t Hillary.  She has too many enemies, plus even lots of those of us who agree with her politics most of the time just don’t like her.  You’ve been a new man since you “lost” (although we all KNOW that didn’t happen)  Save us.  We need you.

Hmmm, Pain or Reflux - Which Is More Fun?

I got some new pain meds a couple of weeks ago and they help tremendously.  Not for long periods of time, but long enough to get some work done.  And, oh, have we been working.  Anyway, it looks like no matter how much Prilosec I take (I was taking one 20mg pill a day and was fine) now, I feel like I have a big ball in my throat.  I’m guessing it’s a combination of stress and the new meds.  Honestly, as crappy as the pain is, I think the disgusting feeling of the reflux might be worse.  I’m not going to take any more pain meds until I feel less gross.  I have a followup with the surgeon tomorrow, so I’ll see if he has any ideas.  Maybe Nexium?  I’m sure my insurance company is loving me.  I went from never using my insurance, to using it constantly over the past thirteen months.  I have an appointment with Leigh-Ann’s fabulous pain management doctor on January 10th - oh, hey, I get to use up one of my 2 co-pays for the year in the first two weeks.  I hope it covers the whole visit - that would be great.  He’s nice, but he isn’t cheap.

An added aside - Leigh-Ann swears that the marble game, that we also have on our phone, is as good as Ativan.  Since Ativan also aggravates reflux, I’m avoiding that too.  I’m now attempting the Marbles fix.

Unusual Things Happen When There’s A Freeze Warning in Vegas

kidsonthebed

A meeting of the glowy-eyed gang.  They’re never on the bed together, but Phoenix wouldn’t let us sleep without her being on the bed.  They were very well-behaved, yet I’m still super sleepy.  Too much work and stress makes Flippy sleepy, sore, and GERD-y.

Phoenix & Cricket on Eli's Old Old Bed

Phoenix & Cricket, in their attempt to huddle together for warmth.  Really, this is about as close as they get when they’re sleeping.  They’ll jump on each other and chase each other, but they apparently want their sleeping privacy.  The high today was in the low 40’s and it’s supposed to get down to 26 tonight.  Brrrrr.
