Happy Birthday, Miserable Bliss!

MBbday

P.S.  I’m not sure how that flower moved up your skirt.  Consider it a birthday bonus, I guess.

And What Have *You* Been Up To?

We’re getting our playtime in before the kittens are completely weaned and go off to their new/original home.  Except for their razor sharp nails (fixed by Leigh-Ann tonight after I was critically kitten wounded) they’re adorable and fun.

A Lesson - From My House To Yours

When you’re in the pool and worried about being stung by the stupid bees and wasps who are stopping by for a drink, look out for that tiny ant that sneaks up and bites your arm.  It stings!  And more than twenty-four hours later, is still leaving a welt.

Make of it what you will.

Ironically, an online friend’s son drew me a picture of a bee and we got it in the mail yesterday.

Isn’t it cute?  The boy is disguised because I don’t want you tracking him down in Germany and pinching his cheeks.  Trust me, he’s adorable.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

I must get these, stat!  They’ve gotten great reviews and I’m hoping they can help my back.  Plus, I think they’re kinda cute.  Who would’ve thought I’d be desperately wanting Earth shoes?  I’m starting PT in the next week or so and I think new sneaks would be a good start.  I’ve been wanting these for about six months and I think it’s finally time to fork over the cash, even though I wanted to just get something cheap from the clearance section.  Alas, none of the good-for-me shoes are ten bucks.  I’m thinking about a pair of Crocs too.  I’m getting old and sore, so I’m willing to forego coolness for comfort.  Okay, I lied, I’ve been doing that for about twenty years now.  I’m going to be the little old lady with the high-tops and multi-colored spikey hair.  Oh, who am I fooling, that’s exactly who I am now.

Earth - Energetic (White/Pink) - Women's

update:  I bought the Earth Shoes, the pink ones pictured even, and they’ve been GREAT.  It’s like they were exactly what I needed to push my surgery into the successful category.  I even convinced Leigh-Ann to get a pair, and they’ve been great for her too.  They took a few days to get used to, but after that, they were the only shoe I wanted to wear, besides my Crocs, which I wear around the house all the time.  I’d thought about getting some Z-Coil shoes or some MBT shoes, but they cost so much more than the Earth Shoes.  I love the negative heel on the Earth Shoes, so I couldn’t imagine the other shoes being any better.  And, my Earth sneaks have the bonus of looking like completely normal shoes.  My back and legs no longer hurt at all when I’m grocery shopping, and after the pain I’ve been in from the herniated disk and post-surgery, it’s very welcome relief.  Sadly, I think most of the other Earth Shoes are really ugly, but they have a few with the negative heel that I like, without having to tell myself how good they are for me.
