Tie Signs With The Leafs -Yay?

A couple of days ago, this would have made me really happy. Today, it makes me happy for Tie and his family, but I’d gotten used to the thought of him playing for the Penguins. So far, I’m wholly unimpressed with JFJ’s dealings with the Leafs (the ones still there, the ones who are now gone), so I don’t see them as the team they were. I like watching Tie and Darcy Tucker play, and that’s pretty much it, unless Ed Belfour’s having a spectacular day in goal. It’s amazing how four days can change your whole outlook on a team.

Ballroom Bitch, Ballroom Bitch…
So, tonight was the night for the So You Think You Can DanceRS to work with the choreographers in Los Angeles. Or, as they say, “Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world.” Clearly, these people have never been to actual Hollywood. Anyway, I immediately detested ballroom choreographer/bitch, Mary Murphy. She was mean, uptight and judgmental. The guy with the mohawk, the guy who was doing well in her class, wasn’t acceptable because of his HAIR? Hey lady, this isn’t a ballroom competition, it’s an all-around dance competition. She just seemed like she’d be the nasty neighbor who pulls up their nose when they see a kid riding a bike near her house. Or the person who calls the neighborhood association because she thinks because someone has tattoos or piercings or spiky hair, they’re drug dealers and they’re going to rob her. I thought at first that I was hating Mia Michaels too, but in a different way. For one, I wish she’d wash her hair. But, she was also kind of unnecessarily mean, but she won me over when she took on the Ballroom Bitch to keep Big Poppa. He’s such a sweet guy that there’s no need to be rude about him, even if you don’t like his dancing. So, go Mia Michaels! But, wash your hair! I really like this show. It is so much better than I thought it would be.
Speaking of better than I thought it would be - Rockstar: INXS. I don’t agree with some of the people who have been kicked off (Heather) and some of the people who are still there (Brandon!!! blech), but it’s been really entertaining. I would buy something by Jordis in a heartbeat. I would pay to see her in concert. I’d have her child. Okay, no, I wouldn’t. Still, she’s been really fabulous, especially this week. She also seems nice, and she knew how to handle PsychoJD when he tried to give the Queen song back to her. She treated him like the deranged child that he seems to be. My pick to win - Jordis & MiG. I think they should pick one male and one female.
I’m now going to bed and I’m going to be happy that if there’s a tearful press conference in Toronto tomorrow, I won’t have to see it. Because, I know for a fact, that it would make me cry. It shouldn’t. It has nothing to do with me. But still, it makes me sad. More tomorrow, if it happens.

The Hockey Rumors Are Making My Head Spin
Tie Domi to Pittsburgh? Or staying with the Leafs? Or going somewhere else? Darcy Tucker being traded? Mats Sundin being traded? Ed Belfour being traded? Jeremy Roenick going to Los Angeles (okay, that one’s verified)? I never ever thought I’d be this interested in watching hockey rumors. My life, it’s turned upside down. I may even play fantasy hockey, just so I can decide who I want on my team and not have to worry about those GMs. Maybe in a two team league with Leigh-Ann - we’ll have awesome teams.

Torani Mango Frusia Knocked My Smoothie Socks Off
I know don’t know how they’re going to replace my knocked off socks, but right now, I don’t care. We got a whole bunch of samples from CoffeeFest in June, but haven’t had time to really get into them. Tonight, for the first time, I tried the Torani Mango Frusia with a little skim milk and ice and it was terrific. Unfortunately, for those of you out there, I’m not sure the small sample packets are available to those who weren’t at the conference. But, take my word for it, it was delicious. I’m usually so skeptical of smoothie claims, but between Torani and Big Train, we’ve been very pleasantly surprised this past couple of weeks of beverage experimentations. Certainly ordering the Big Train packets is a tremendous savings over buying the drinks at Starbucks and I haven’t noticed any lack of quality in the results. We’ve tried a multitude of flavors and they’re all good. We split a packet and it averages out to about 50 cents per drink versus the Starbucks’ $3+. Don’t get me wrong, when we’re swimming in cash, I’m more than happy to go into Starbucks and get them to make our drink, but this is great when you’re stuck at home during the INTERMINABLE thunderstorm/dog fear watches.
I would certainly buy the full bottle of the mango puree because it’s just that good. And ice and skim milk (although it can be made with water or tea) are pretty cheap. They’re are only two of us in the household, so we don’t need a big bottle. If you can find a way to buy the small packets from Torani, it would be a great way to try it. Seriously tasty.
