Bag O’ Crap

Alas, my Bag o’ Crap truly was crappy.  I may include some of the things I got in the giveaway, but unfortunately, I did not get the MP3 player I was hoping to find in my box o’ “crappy stuff” (that’s exactly what it was called on the FedEx label).  Now, I’ll actually have to use my noggin to think of stuff to give away.  Anyone want some old Tropical Chill flavored Fruit Breezers I’ve had sitting on my desk since the last time I was sick?  They’re probably only like 6-8 months old.  They’re tasty and who could argue with the beloved 7mg of pectin?  A treat, I tell you, a treat.

101 Things About Me

Apparently I’ve been boring my dad, as I took a day off in writing.  So now, because lots of other people have done it and I’m a blogging follower, I’m going to let you know a bit about me.  You know, other than my rants.

1.  My real name is not Flippy.

2.  I’m gay.  Or maybe bi.  I think some boys are cute.  I probably wouldn’t be miserable living as a het.

3.  I love chocolate/raspberry anything.

4.  If I wasn’t living with Leigh-Ann , I’d probably only have one dog and maybe one African Grey to keep me company.

5.  I love sushi.  Especially anything with tobiko on it.  (hey, is this cheating, adding extra stuff to a response?  Screw it.  It’s my blog, man)

6.  I was once a jock.  Played high school & college softball.

7.  If professional softball had existed, I would’ve worked out harder.

8.  I’m lazy.

9.  I’m unambitious, although I desperately want to make lots of money.

10.  I have ideas almost every single day on how to make money, but not enough money or skill to make them happen.

11.  I have three older brothers.

12.  I always wanted a little brother.

13.  I never wanted a sister.

14.  Compared to just about everyone I know...my childhood was perfect.

15.  I’m stubborn and hate to be wrong.

16.  I won’t argue if I’m not almost positive I’m right.

17.  I don’t like to argue in real life, but I generally don’t mind arguing online.

18.  I’ve proven to myself that I can walk away from unhealthy online arguing.  (Yes, this means you at Mama-Drama - I never came back after my last post)

19.  I don’t want children.

20.  I think other people’s children are great...especially online.

21.  I’m a homebody.

22.  I love television...and always have.

23.  I love television even more now that we have TiVo

24.  I like spicy food.

25.  I love trying new foods.

Talk Amongst Yourselves

While I figure out what to do about this horrid back pain and long for the days (last week) when I could bend at the waist without grimacing, you talk amongst yourselves.  And enter the contest.  Because if my BOC (bag o’ crap from Woot) has a 256MB MP3 player in it, this giveaway will, at the very least, have a 64MB unused one that’s gathering dust on the bookshelf next to my desk.  Hey, that’s worth clicking on a link and typing your first name and email address, isn’t it?

Oh, and Dad, yes you may enter the contest.  But really, can you think of anything that I can afford that you need...or even want?  We’ll give you the “How to work the TiVo” lessons for free, just as soon as the thunderstorm threat that chains us to our home, goes away.

A weird aside - I had a dream last night about Lisa Hartman Black and Home Depot and well, other stuff, but this blog is rated PG-13.  Then, I open the paper and lo and behold, she’s in a movie on the Hallmark Channel tonight.  Frankly, I’d thought she’d retired after she got married, so the dream timing is pretty darned impressive.

August Giveaway!

Yes, I’m shameless.  I’m going to reward people for actually reading my blog.  The contest software will choose the winner, so I won’t be picking favorites.  I only ask that you enter only once and that you be willing to give me your postal address (can be a POB, I have no need to know where you live) if you win.  I promise I have no interest in personally delivering anything.  I can barely get myself dressed to go out to Starbucks.  It’s going to be something semi-cheap and you may even not like it, but it’s FREE.  Oh, I guess if you’re Canadian, I’ll have to make you do some sort of skill related problem in order to get the free giftie.  You know, something really difficult like 2+2=?
