A Teeny Little Book Review
I just finished We Thought You Would Be Prettier: True Tales of the Dorkiest Girl Alive by Laurie Notaro, which I enjoyed very much, unlike my friend with multiple nz in her name. I still didn’t think it was as good as her third book, but I just love her writing. It’s quick, quirky, amusing and enjoyable. She seems like she’d be the great wacky neighbor next door.
Now I’m reading Magical Thinking by Augusten Burroughs

Yoplait Makes Dreams Come True
Oh, I thought Yoplait Whips were dreamy enough, as they reminded me of the good old days of Jell-O 1-2-3 and the fabulousness of it. But no, they’ve outdone themselves, they’ve come up with a Yoplait Whip Chocolate Raspberry flavor. It only has a slight raspberry flavor and the chocolate is a yogurty chocolate flavor, but still, I’m happy. Very very happy. So happy, I’m giving you a picture of the label.
In other good news, Atkins files for bankruptcy and bread & pasta win. So, that means we ALL win. Seriously, who could live without bread?

BlogHer Is Now Over, But Hockey Has Yet To Begin
Okay, I’ve made it through the hard part, the BlogHers have had their pre-conference dinner, their conference and their post-conference dinner. Now, we just have to wait for everyone to get home and post. Now, I have to move on to hockey. The important thing - where oh where will Tie Domi (or Voldemort) go? Will he stay with my beloved Leafs, will he go to the Pittsburgh Penguins (Pittsburgh over Toronto >sigh< ), or will he go somewhere else altogether? If Toronto doesn't offer him enough money, how can I with a good conscience remain a Leafs fan? Although, I don't think I could ever become a fan of Pittsburgh anything. Granted, it's not like the heinous crime of being a NY Yankee, but still… Will I have to love the sinner, but be indifferent to the sin? If he goes somewhere else, would they let him have his number? Because the only numbers I could accept are 28 and 7, because 7 was always my number. Am I thinking about this too much, considering I've only been a Leafs/hockey fan for one season and then there was the lockout?
Leigh-Ann and I just watched Bill Maher: I’m Swiss on HBO tonight. It was great. He voices so many of the same thoughts that we have here at home. It’s like he’s eavesdropping. Bill, if you’re there, stop eating all the munchies.

BlogHer - The View From At Home, The Day Of…
Okay, I’m definitely going to the next blogher, even if just for ideas on new t-shirts. From the pictures, it looks like fun, as I’m used to all of our tech-related conferences being mostly male. I’ve been in the blogher chat, read people’s updated blogs (no one I “know” yet though) and checked out the pictures. I’m feeling a bit wistful, but now I at least know I want to go for sure next time. And perhaps the next one will be bigger, with the sessions spread out more. I would’ve had trouble choosing between between four of the five 1:30p sessions. Instead, I’ll read some transcripts, learn a few things and keep checking out the pictures from the conference. And then, I’ll get really really drunk and raid the chat room. Okay, I kid. Hey, those transcripts are being saved. I have a reputation of good spelling to uphold.
